Description

Hiprex Tablets 1g are used to help prevent and treat urinary tract infections (UTIs). They contain methenamine hippurate, which works by turning into formaldehyde in acidic urine. Formaldehyde is an antibacterial agent that helps stop the growth of bacteria in the urinary tract. Hiprex is often used as a long-term treatment to prevent recurrent UTIs, especially in individuals prone to chronic infections.

Usage

Adults and children over 12 years: Take 1 tablet twice daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Tablets should be taken after meals and swallowed whole with water.

To ensure effectiveness, maintain an acidic urine. Your doctor may recommend vitamin C or cranberry supplements to help.

Warnings

Not suitable for children under 6 years unless directed by a doctor.

Do not use if you have severe kidney or liver problems unless under strict medical supervision.
