Benzac AC Moderate Strength 5% Acne Wash 200mL

Benzac AC Moderate Strength 5% Acne Wash contains benzoyl peroxide 50 mg/g and is used for the treatment of acne on the chest and back. It can also be used on the face. The wash helps unclog pores and target P. acnes bacteria associated with acne, including acne-related blackheads and whiteheads.

The formulation contains acrylates copolymer to absorb excess oil and glycerol to help maintain skin hydration.

Active Ingredient: Benzoyl Peroxide 50 mg/g

Directions

1. Wet the area to be cleansed.

2. Work the wash into a lather and apply to the skin.

3. Leave on for 30 seconds.

4. Rinse off thoroughly and pat the skin dry.

5. Follow with an acne treatment, then apply a moisturiser.

Use as the first step in a three-step acne treatment routine. Start with once-daily use and increase to twice daily as tolerated.

An increase in skin peeling may occur during the first few weeks of treatment. This usually subsides within a day or two if use is temporarily discontinued. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

Inactive Ingredients: Acrylate Copolymer, Glycerol, Carbomer 940, Sodium C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Hydroxide or Citric Acid (for pH adjustment), Purified Water to 100 g.

Warnings

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, corners of the nose, mucous membranes and sensitive areas of the neck.

• Do not apply to damaged skin.

• If excessive swelling, irritation, redness, blistering or peeling occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

• Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet light, particularly at high altitudes or in snow-covered areas.

• Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

• If peeling persists, consult a doctor.

• Excessive application will not improve results and may cause severe irritation. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and seek appropriate medical advice.

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Benzoyl peroxide may discolour fabrics on contact. Use with care.
