Brand Codral
Codral Dry Cough & Cold with Antihistamine is a raspberry-flavoured oral liquid for the dry, tickly cough and runny nose that come with a cold. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that calms a dry cough by acting on the cough centre in the brain, and it also eases sneezing, watery eyes and a runny nose. Ammonium chloride is included as an expectorant. It causes drowsiness in most people, so it suits night-time use.

Active Ingredients
Each 5mL contains diphenhydramine hydrochloride 12.5mg and ammonium chloride 125mg. Contains sucrose and glucose liquid.

Dosage
• Adults and children over 12 years: 10mL every 4 hours as needed
• Children 6 to 12 years: 5mL every 4 hours as needed
• Do not take more than 6 doses in 24 hours
• Not for children under 6 years
• If you are over 65, ask your pharmacist or doctor about the right dose

Warnings
• May cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you
• Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine
• Do not use during an asthma attack
• Ask your doctor first if you have narrow-angle glaucoma, a stomach or duodenal ulcer, prostate problems, or severe liver or kidney disease
• Contains sugar - take care if you have diabetes
• See your doctor if your cough lasts more than a few days or comes back
• Incorrect use could be harmful. Keep out of reach of children
