Description

Difflam Plus Anaesthetic Sore Throat Lozenges are used for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with:

• Sore throat

• Pharyngitis

• Tonsillitis

• Mouth ulcers

• Swelling, redness and inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat

• Pain following mouth or throat surgery

• Pain following dental procedures

The formulation contains anaesthetic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory active ingredients.

Ingredients

Each lozenge contains:

• Benzydamine hydrochloride 3.0mg

• Lidocaine (Lignocaine) hydrochloride monohydrate 4.0mg

• Dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg

Contains sucralose and isomalt.

Directions

Adults and children aged 6 years and over:

• Slowly dissolve 1 lozenge in the mouth.

• Do not chew.

• Take every 2–3 hours as required.

• Maximum 12 lozenges per day.

Storage

• Store below 30°C.

Warnings

• Do not use if the blister seal is broken or if the product has passed its expiry date.

• Do not use if allergic to benzydamine or other anti-inflammatory medicines.

• If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

• Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or may become pregnant.

• Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

• Avoid consuming hot food or drinks immediately after use due to the anaesthetic effect.

• The efficacy of antibacterial agents in lozenges for reducing the severity or duration of throat infections has not been clinically established.

• If symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

• Continuous treatment should not exceed 7 days unless under medical supervision.

• Contains sucralose and isomalt (31g per 12 lozenges, the maximum recommended daily dose). Products containing isomalt may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.

• Keep out of reach of children.
