Hydrogen Peroxide is an antiseptic solution that may be used for cleaning minor cuts, wounds and abrasions. When diluted as directed, it may also be used as a mouthwash or gargle.

It may also be used for a range of household cleaning applications, including disinfecting hard surfaces.

Active Ingredient

  • Hydrogen peroxide 3 g/100 mL

Directions

As an antiseptic:

  • Apply liberally to the affected area.

As a mouthwash or gargle:

  • Dilute 60 mL with an equal amount of lukewarm water.

  • Gargle or rinse the mouth and expel the liquid after use.

  • Do not swallow.

Storage

  • Store below 25°C.

Warnings

  • Remove the cap slowly with the bottle pointed away from the body.

  • Do not swallow.

  • If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water and seek medical advice.

  • If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or the Poisons Information Centre.

  • If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash the affected area thoroughly.
