Description
Macrovic Powder 13.71 g (30 sachets) is an osmotic laxative used for the management of constipation and faecal impaction. It contains macrogol 3350 combined with electrolytes, including sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and potassium chloride. The formulation works by retaining water in the bowel, which helps soften stools, increase stool volume and support regular bowel movements.
The inclusion of electrolytes assists in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance during use. Macrovic acts locally in the bowel and is generally associated with a low risk of cramping compared with stimulant laxatives.

Each sachet contains:
Macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, potassium chloride and sodium bicarbonate.
Warnings
Do not use Macrovic if you:

Are allergic to macrogol or any of the listed ingredients

Have an intestinal obstruction or ileus

Have a perforation of the bowel

Have severe inflammatory bowel conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis or toxic megacolon
