Description

Movicol Lemon-Lime for adults provides temporary relief from constipation. It is used to manage chronic constipation and to treat faecal impaction, as diagnosed by a doctor.

Gentle and effective, Movicol works with the body’s natural processes to support regular bowel movements. It is simple to prepare, comes in a refreshing lemon-lime flavour, and is suitable for adults and children over 2 years of age.

Ingredients
Each sachet contains:

• Macrogol 3350 – 13.125 g

• Sodium chloride – 350.7 mg

• Sodium bicarbonate – 178.5 mg

• Potassium chloride – 46.6 mg

When mixed with 125 mL of water, each sachet provides:

• Sodium – 65 mmol/L

• Chloride – 53 mmol/L

• Bicarbonate – 17 mmol/L

• Potassium – 5.4 mmol/L

Also contains potassium acesulfame and lemon-lime flavour.

Directions

• Constipation: 1 sachet daily, increasing to 2–3 sachets daily if needed.

• Faecal impaction (doctor diagnosed): 8 sachets per day for up to 3 days.

Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 125 mL of water and drink. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Not for children under 12 years — use Movicol Junior instead.

Warnings

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Drink plenty of water and increase dietary fibre unless constipation is medication-induced. Long-term use of laxatives may cause dependence. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

Do not use Movicol if you have an intestinal blockage, a perforated bowel, severe inflammatory bowel disease, paralysis of the bowel, or an allergy to any ingredients. If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use.
