Description

Nilstat Oral Drops contain Nystatin, an antifungal agent used to treat oral thrush (oral candidiasis) caused by Candida albicans. The suspension is cherry-flavored and comes with a dropper for precise dosing. Nystatin works by binding to sterols in the fungal cell membrane, altering its permeability and leading to the leakage of cellular contents, effectively killing the fungus.

Directions for Use

1. Shake Well: Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use.

2. Measure Dose: Use the provided dropper to measure the prescribed dose.

3. Administer: Place the drops directly in the mouth, swishing for as long as possible before swallowing.

4. Frequency: Use as prescribed by your healthcare provider, usually four times daily.

5. Duration: Continue treatment for at least 48 hours after symptoms disappear to prevent recurrence.

 Warnings & Precautions

Hypersensitivity: Do not use if you have a known allergy to Nystatin or any of the suspension components.

Systemic Infections: Not effective for systemic fungal infections.

Irritation: Discontinue use if irritation or sensitization occurs.

Storage: Store at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F). Do not freeze.
