Description
Proctosedyl Ointment is a topical treatment for the relief of discomfort caused by haemorrhoids and other rectal conditions such as anal fissures, itching, and inflammation. It combines a local anaesthetic to relieve pain and itching, and a corticosteroid to reduce swelling and inflammation. Suitable for internal and external use, it provides fast, targeted symptom relief.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients (per gram):
Cinchocaine hydrochloride 5 mg – local anaesthetic
Hydrocortisone 5 mg – corticosteroid
Other Ingredients:
Lanolin
Paraffin
Cholesterol
White soft paraffin
Usage
Adults:
Apply a small amount to the affected area up to 3 times daily.
Best applied after bowel movement and before bedtime.
For internal use, use the applicator nozzle provided.
Do not exceed recommended dose or duration.
Warnings
For rectal use only.
Do not use for more than 7 days unless directed by a doctor.
Not suitable for use in children.
Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients.
Prolonged use may cause skin thinning.
Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
