Betadine Antiseptic Liquid 100ml

Description

Betadine Antiseptic Topical Solution is an antiseptic solution for use on minor cuts, abrasions, and minor skin infections. It contains povidone-iodine and is applied directly to the affected area.

Active Ingredient

• Povidone-Iodine 10% w/v (equivalent to 1% w/v available iodine)

Contains

Citric acid monohydrate, dibasic sodium phosphate dodecahydrate, glycerol, nonoxinol 9, purified water, and sodium hydroxide.

Directions

• Ensure the affected area is clean before application.

• Apply the solution undiluted to the affected area two to three times daily, or as required.

• The area may be covered with gauze, an adhesive dressing, or a bandage if needed.

Warnings

• For external use only.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use if hypersensitive to iodine or povidone-iodine.

• Do not use if the neck seal is broken.

• Do not mix with other wound treatment products, disinfectants, detergents, or chemicals.

• Avoid prolonged use or application to large areas of skin.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if skin irritation, redness, or swelling develops.

• Do not use if you have thyroid disease, including goitre, thyroid nodules, or other thyroid disorders, particularly in elderly patients.

• Do not use within 4 weeks prior to thyroid cancer treatment.

• Do not apply heat before use.
