Betadine Antiseptic Ointment is a povidone-iodine antiseptic ointment used for the treatment of common mild skin infections and to help prevent infection in minor burns, cuts and abrasions.

Active Ingredient

• Povidone-iodine 10% w/v (equivalent to 1% w/v available iodine)

• Macrogol 1000

• Macrogol 1500

• Macrogol 3350

• Macrogol 400

• Purified water

• Sodium bicarbonate

Directions

• Apply directly to the affected area 2–3 times daily.

Warnings

• For external use only.

• Do not use if the tube seal is broken.

• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to iodine.

• Avoid application to large areas of skin or extensive burn areas.

• Avoid excessive heat.

• If redness, irritation or swelling develops, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

• Consult a doctor before use on deep or puncture wounds, or serious burns.
