Betadine Ready to Use Sore Throat Gargle 200mL

Betadine Ready to Use Sore Throat Gargle is an antibacterial gargle containing povidone-iodine. It may be used as an aid in the treatment of sore throats by helping to reduce bacteria associated with throat infections.

The gargle is supplied ready to use and includes a measuring cup for accurate dosing. No dilution is required.

Active Ingredient

Each 100 mL contains:

• Povidone-iodine 1% w/v (equivalent to 0.1% w/v available iodine)

Contains:

• Sodium saccharin

• Alcohol

• Citric acid monohydrate

• Ethanol

• Glycerol

• Menthol

• Methyl salicylate

• Purified water

• Sodium hydroxide

Directions

• Use without dilution.

• Pour 15 mL into the measuring cup provided.

• Gargle for approximately 30 seconds.

• Do not swallow.

• Repeat every 3–4 hours if required.

Warnings

• Do not swallow this product.

• Severe sore throat accompanied by fever, headache, nausea or vomiting, or a sore throat lasting longer than 2 days, should be assessed by a doctor.

• Do not use if you are allergic to iodine.

• Discontinue use if irritation, redness or swelling occurs.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

• Do not use if the cap seal is broken.

• Contains sodium saccharin and alcohol.
