Description

Canesten Extra 1% Cream is a dual-action antifungal and anti-inflammatory treatment for fungal skin infections. It contains Clotrimazole, an antifungal agent that targets the cause of the infection, and Hydrocortisone, a mild corticosteroid that helps reduce the redness, swelling, and itching often associated with fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, and fungal infected eczema. This cream is suitable for short-term use and should be applied as directed.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients:

Clotrimazole 1% w/w

Hydrocortisone 1% w/w

Other Ingredients:

Benzyl alcohol (as preservative)

Cetostearyl alcohol

Sorbitan stearate

Polysorbate 60

Octyldodecanol

Purified water

Other emulsifying and stabilising agents

Usage

Adults and children over 12 years:
Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily for up to 7 days.

Rub in gently and completely.

Once inflammation subsides, treatment may be continued with an antifungal-only cream if needed.

Warnings

For external use only.

Not recommended for use on the face or on broken skin.

Do not use in the eyes, mouth, or on mucous membranes.

Avoid long-term use or use on large areas without medical supervision.

Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding without medical advice.

Do not use in children under 12 years unless advised by a doctor.

If irritation develops or symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
