Brand Daktarin
Daktarin Tincture treats fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails. It contains miconazole nitrate 2%, an antifungal that stops the fungus growing, and comes in a clear liquid that dries to a film over the nail. A brush is built into the cap, so it goes on much like nail polish. Treating a nail infection is a slow job and the course needs to be finished properly.

Active Ingredients
Miconazole nitrate 20mg/mL (2%). Contains alcohol.

Directions for Use
Cut the infected nail as short as you can before you start. Using the brush in the cap, paint a thin layer over the affected nail twice a day, covering the skin around it and underneath the nail where possible. Let it dry to a film. Before each new application, wipe the nail with a swab of acetone-based nail polish remover, otherwise the layers build up and the tincture cannot reach the nail. Keep going until the infection has cleared and the nail looks normal, which usually takes at least two months and can take longer for toenails.

Warnings
• For external use only. Do not use near the eyes
• Do not apply to cut or broken skin
• The nail may lift or fall off - this is from the infection, not the tincture
• Stop if you get a rash or irritation and speak to your pharmacist or doctor
• Store below 25C in a cool, dry place. Flammable, keep away from flames
• Keep out of reach of children
