Product Information

Brand Daktozin
Nappy rash that will not clear with a plain barrier cream often has a fungal component, and that is what Daktozin is made for. It pairs miconazole nitrate, an antifungal that treats thrush (Candida), with 15% zinc oxide, which forms a barrier over the skin and settles redness and irritation. Being an ointment rather than a cream, it is thicker and stays put when the nappy goes back on. This is the 90g tube, the larger size.

Active Ingredients
Zinc oxide 150mg/g (15%) and miconazole nitrate 2.5mg/g (0.25%).

Directions for Use
Clean and dry the whole affected area first. Apply the ointment gently at every nappy change, without rubbing it in. Keep going for seven days, or until the signs of infection have cleared completely. Do not stop as soon as it starts to look better, or the infection can come back.

Warnings
• Schedule 2, Pharmacy Medicine. For external use only
• Do not use in the eyes
• Stop use and see your doctor if irritation develops or the rash does not improve within seven days
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure whether the rash is fungal
• Keep out of reach of children
