David Craig Uricosal Potassium Citrate Mixture Urinary Alkaliniser 200mL

Uricosal is an oral potassium citrate mixture for the symptomatic relief of pain and discomfort associated with mild urinary tract infections in adults. It works by making the urine less acidic, which eases the stinging and burning that comes with cystitis. It is not an antibiotic and does not treat the infection itself, so it is used for comfort while an infection settles or alongside treatment prescribed by your doctor. Supplied as a 200mL oral liquid that is diluted in water before taking.

Directions for Use
Adults: 10 mL diluted in a glass of water, three times a day after meals. Keep your fluid intake up while you are taking it. Follow the directions on the pack or the advice of your pharmacist or doctor.
See your doctor if symptoms have not settled within 48 hours, or at any point if you have fever, back or side pain, or blood in your urine.

Active Ingredients
Each 10 mL contains potassium citrate 2 g and citric acid monohydrate 400 mg. Also contains sucrose, methyl hydroxybenzoate and propyl hydroxybenzoate.

Warnings
Always dilute in water before taking. Speak to your pharmacist before use if you have kidney disease or heart disease, are on a potassium-restricted diet, or take potassium-sparing diuretics, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, anti-inflammatories or digoxin. Not for use if you have high blood potassium. Ask your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contains sucrose. Keep out of reach of children.
