Demazin Cold & Flu + Cough Day/Night Capsules 48

Demazin Cold + Flu + Cough Day + Night contains separate day and night formulations for the temporary relief of cold and flu symptoms. It is formulated to help relieve symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, body aches and pains, blocked or runny nose, and dry cough.

The day and night capsules contain different active ingredients to provide symptom relief throughout the day and at night.

Suitable for: Adults and children 12 years and over.

Active Ingredients

Each Day Capsule contains:

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate 10 mg
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg

Each Night Capsule contains:

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate 10 mg
• Chlorphenamine maleate 2 mg

Other ingredients include:

• Carmoisine
• Gelatin
• Hypromellose
• Microcrystalline cellulose
• Patent Blue V
• Purified water
• Quinoline Yellow
• Silicon dioxide
• Sodium lauryl sulfate
• Stearic acid

Contains: Lactose.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over

Day Capsules

• Dose: 2 capsules
• Frequency: Every 4–6 hours as required
• Maximum: 6 day capsules in 24 hours

Night Capsules

• Dose: 2 capsules
• Frequency: At bedtime, as required
• Maximum: 2 night capsules in 24 hours

Warnings

• Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
• Do not use for longer than a few days in adults, or for more than 48 hours in children aged 12–17 years, unless advised by a doctor.
• Do not use with other medicines containing paracetamol, dextromethorphan or phenylephrine unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
• Ask your doctor before use if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, are taking antidepressants, or if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
• Use only as directed.
• If symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• If an overdose is taken or suspected, contact the Poisons Information Centre immediately or go to the nearest hospital, even if you feel well, due to the risk of delayed liver damage.
• Phenylephrine may cause sleeplessness.
• Night capsules may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol.
• Contains lactose.
• Pharmacy Medicine.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use if the foil seal is broken.
