Difflam Solution 500mL

Description                                                                                                                              Difflam Sore Throat Gargle and Mouth Solution contains benzydamine hydrochloride and is used as a mouth rinse or gargle for temporary relief of symptoms associated with sore throat, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, mouth ulcers, radiation mucositis, and pain following dental or throat procedures. It is also used for associated swelling, redness, and inflammatory conditions.

The active ingredient has anti-inflammatory properties.

Active Ingredients (per 15mL):

• Benzydamine hydrochloride 22.5mg

Directions
Adults and children aged 6 years and over: Use 15mL as a gargle or mouth rinse. Hold in the mouth or gargle for at least 30 seconds, then expel. Do not swallow.

Use every 1.5–3 hours as required.

Storage
Store below 30°C. Protect from light.

Warnings
Do not use:

• In children under 6 years

• If past the expiry date

• If the cap seal is broken

• If allergic to benzydamine or other anti-inflammatory medicines

If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or may become pregnant.

While using this medicine:

• Avoid contact with eyes

• Do not exceed 7 days of continuous use unless advised by a healthcare professional

• If symptoms persist, seek medical advice

• Keep out of reach of children

• The effectiveness of anti-inflammatory agents in oral solutions for reducing severity or duration of throat infections has not been clinically established

• Contains alcohol (10% v/v) and hydroxybenzoates
