Difflam Throat Gargle Iodine 15mL

Description

Difflam Concentrate Sore Throat Gargle with Iodine contains povidone-iodine and is intended for use as an antibacterial gargle to assist in the treatment of sore throats, tonsillitis and pharyngitis.

This concentrated formulation must be diluted before use. A measuring cup is included to assist with preparation. Fresh mint flavour.

Sugar free, gluten free and lactose free.

Ingredients

Active ingredient (in 20mL of diluted solution):

• Povidone-iodine 75mg (equivalent to iodine 7.5mg)

Contains:

• Saccharin

• Alcohol (38% v/v)

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over:
Using the measuring cup provided, dilute 1mL of concentrate with 20mL of water. Gargle for 30 seconds and expel the solution. Do not swallow.

How often:

• Every 3–4 hours as required.

Warnings

Do not use this medicine:

• If the cap seal is broken.

• If past the expiry date.

Before use:

• This product must be diluted before use.

While using this medicine:

• Not recommended for children under 12 years.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• The efficacy of an antibacterial agent in gargles in reducing the severity or duration of throat infections has not been clinically established.

• If symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
