Description

EZOVIR is an antiviral medication used for managing recurrent cold sore outbreaks in adults aged 18 and over with a normal immune system. It does not cure the herpes virus but can help reduce the severity of symptoms and shorten the length of an outbreak.

Cold sores generally appear on or around the lips, mouth, and nose, starting as small red bumps that may develop into fluid-filled blisters, which can be sensitive or painful. Early signs may include tingling, itching, burning, or redness in the affected area.

The virus can remain dormant in the body and reactivate later, leading to repeat outbreaks. Treatment is most effective when started at the first indication of an outbreak, such as tingling, itching, burning, redness, or swelling, when the virus is actively replicating.

Take EZOVIR as soon as possible after the first symptoms or early signs of a cold sore appear.

Do not use if a hard crust has already formed on the sore.
