Whitfield's Ointment is an old and still widely used antifungal preparation, sometimes labelled benzoic acid compound ointment. Benzoic acid does the antifungal work while salicylic acid softens and lifts the hardened outer layer of skin, helping the treatment reach the infection underneath. Used for tinea and other fungal infections of the skin, including tinea pedis (athlete's foot). The 100g jar suits larger or recurring patches.

Active Ingredients
• Benzoic Acid 6% w/w
• Salicylic Acid 3% w/w

Directions for Use
Wash and dry the affected skin, then apply a thin layer to the area up to three times a day. Keep using it for the full course your pharmacist or doctor recommends, since fungal infections often come back if treatment stops as soon as symptoms fade.

Warnings
• For external use only
• Do not apply to broken, cracked or inflamed skin, or to mucous membranes
• Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation occurs
• If the infection does not improve, see your doctor or pharmacist
• Store below 30 degrees C. Keep out of reach of children
• Always read the label and use only as directed
