GoldX Gluco-Lyte Oral Sachets 40g x5

Description                                                                                                                              Gluco-Lyte is an oral rehydration formula designed to help replace fluids and electrolytes lost due to dehydration.

It may be used to assist with fluid and electrolyte replacement associated with diarrhoea, vomiting, illness, vigorous exercise or heat-related fluid loss. The formulation contains electrolytes and salts to support rehydration.

Active Ingredients

• Potassium Chloride 24.4mg/g

• Sodium Chloride 8mg/g

• Sodium Citrate Dihydrate 27.75mg/g

Each sachet dissolved in 600mL of water provides an isotonic solution equivalent to 0.96% sodium chloride.

Directions
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 600mL of boiled and cooled water.

Recommended Intake

For oral replacement of electrolytes in moderate dehydration:

• Very young infants: 200–300mL daily

• Infants up to 1 year: 600mL daily

• Children 1–6 years: 1200–1800mL daily

• Children over 6 years and adults: 2400–4000mL daily

For mild dehydration associated with diarrhoea, vomiting or persistent fever:

• Consume 600–1200mL of the prepared solution daily.

For heat-related fluid loss:

• Prepare the solution as directed and consume as a source of fluid replacement.

Warnings
Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists:

• More than 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years

• More than 24 hours in children aged 3–6 years

• More than 12 hours in children under 3 years
