This device is designed to measure blood glucose, Ξ²-ketone, and total cholesterol levels in whole blood. It works by detecting the electrical current generated when these biochemical components react with the reagent on the test strip. The meter reads the current, calculates the levels of the parameters in the blood, and displays the results directly on a connected iOS device via the Lightning port. The intensity of the electrical current correlates with the concentration of glucose, ketones, and cholesterol in the sample.

Results can be managed and shared using the LifeSmart Health app, allowing users to provide their data to healthcare professionals or family members for monitoring and review. The system does not require batteries or manual setup, simplifying testing compared with traditional blood glucose meters.
