Mepilex Border Flex Foam Dressing 10cm x 10cm 10 Pack

This box contains ten Mepilex Border Flex dressings, each measuring 10cm x 10cm. The absorbent foam pad and the thin adhesive border are made as one piece, so the dressing does not need separate tape. Mölnlycke's Safetac silicone adhesive is designed to lift away from the skin gently when the dressing is changed.

Designed For

Mölnlycke lists it for wounds with moderate to high fluid levels: pressure injuries, leg and foot ulcers, traumatic and surgical wounds, and dry or necrotic wounds when used with a hydrating gel. Lay users can apply it under a healthcare professional's supervision.

How to Use

• Clean the wound as directed and make sure the surrounding skin is dry.
• Remove the release film and apply the dressing without stretching it.
• The dressing should reach at least 1 to 2cm beyond the wound edge.
• Refer to the instructions for use in the box for changing and removal.

Precautions

• Not for people with a known hypersensitivity to any of the dressing components.
• Avoid using with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide solutions.
• If there are signs of infection, such as fever, redness, warmth or swelling, contact a healthcare professional.
• Use once only. Do not use if the sterile packaging is damaged or opened, and do not re-sterilise.
• Using dressings to help prevent pressure injuries does not replace a full pressure care plan, including support surfaces, repositioning, nutrition and skin care.

Additional Information

Some yellowing of the foam may occur with light, air or heat. Mölnlycke notes that this does not affect the dressing before its expiry date.
