Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a thin, self-adherent soft silicone foam dressing from Mölnlycke. It suits wounds with little or moderate fluid and lies flat under clothing. You get five sterile 10cm x 10cm dressings in the box.

Designed For

Leg and foot ulcers, pressure injuries, surgical wounds and traumatic wounds that produce no to moderate fluid. The manufacturer notes it can be used by lay people under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

How to Use

• Clean the wound following your healthcare professional's advice and dry the skin around it.
• Remove the release film and smooth the dressing into place without stretching.
• Check the instructions for use in the pack for how long to leave it on and how to remove it.

Precautions

• Do not use on a person with known hypersensitivity to the dressing materials.
• Do not combine with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide.
• Signs of infection, such as fever or a red, warm or swollen wound, need review by a healthcare professional.
• Sterile, single use dressing.

Additional Information

The polyurethane foam may yellow slightly with exposure to light, air or heat. This colour change does not affect the dressing before its expiry date.
