Brand Microlax
Microlax is a small 5mL micro-enema for constipation, used when you want something that works quickly and locally rather than a laxative taken by mouth. It draws water bound up in the stool back out, softening the mass so it can pass, and usually produces a bowel movement within 5 to 15 minutes. Each tube is single-use with a short pre-lubricated nozzle. Pack of 12.

Active Ingredients
Each 5mL tube contains sodium citrate dihydrate 450mg, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate 45mg and sorbitol 3.125g. Also contains glycerol, sorbic acid and purified water.

Directions for Use
Twist off the cap and squeeze out a drop of solution to lubricate the tip. Sitting on the toilet or squatting slightly, insert the neck of the tube fully into the rectum, then squeeze the whole 5mL in. Keep squeezing as you withdraw the tube. Wait at least 5 minutes before opening your bowels so the stool has time to soften.

Warnings
• For rectal use only. One tube per use, then discard
• Do not use if you have abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or undiagnosed rectal bleeding. See your doctor instead
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use in young children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Not intended for long term or repeated use. Persistent constipation should be assessed by a doctor
• Always read the label and follow the directions for use
