Description
Nicotinell Stop Smoking Patches are designed to provide a steady, controlled release of nicotine over 24 hours, helping you manage cravings throughout the day. The patches keep nicotine levels consistent, while oral options such as gum or lozenges can be used alongside them for sudden urges to smoke.
As part of the Nicotinell stop-smoking program, these patches follow a step-down method that gradually reduces your nicotine intake. Helpful support information is included inside the carton to guide you through your quit journey.
This pack contains 7 patches.
Ingredients
Nicotine 17.5 mg per patch (delivering 7 mg over 24 hours)
Directions
After completing 6–8 weeks with Nicotinell Step 1 and/or Step 2 Patches, you can transition to Step 3 (7 mg) to further reduce nicotine dependence.
How to Apply Nicotinell Patches
Remove the patch from its sachet and peel off the protective backing.
Apply immediately to clean, dry, hairless skin free from lotions, creams, sunscreen, or insect repellent. Suitable sites include the upper arm, chest, abdomen, or hip.
Press down firmly for 10–20 seconds using the palm of your hand. Smooth around the edges to ensure full contact.
Do not lift the patch to check adhesion.
Replace the patch every 24 hours, choosing a new skin area each time.
Do not reuse the same site within 7 days.
Combination Use: Patch + Gum or Lozenges
Nicotinell Patches provide steady nicotine support throughout the day, but you may need an additional boost during stronger cravings. For quick relief, pair the patch with Nicotinell 2 mg Gum or choose Nicotinell 2 mg Lozenges for longer-lasting support.
You may combine Nicotinell 21 mg Patches with Nicotinell 2 mg Gum or Lozenges.
How to Use Combination Therapy
Use both the patch and oral product as directed for 12 weeks, then begin tapering:
Option 1:
Stop using the patch and gradually reduce the gum or lozenges until no longer required.
Option 2:
Keep the same number of gum/lozenge pieces and move to the Step 2 patch for 3–4 weeks.
Then switch to Step 3 for another 3–4 weeks.
Once the patch is stopped, gradually reduce the gum or lozenge.
Important:
Do not combine Nicotinell 4 mg Gum or 4 mg Lozenges with Nicotinell Patches.
