Description
Nicotinell Patch Step 2 (14mg) is designed to support you on your path to a smoke-free lifestyle by gradually lowering your nicotine intake. The program follows a 3-step approach, with each stage using a different strength patch tailored to your needs. As you progress, the nicotine dose decreases to help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
Step 1 – 21mg patches, ideal for those smoking more than 20 cigarettes per day. Use daily for 3–4 weeks before moving to Step 2.
Step 2 – 14mg patches, suitable for those smoking fewer than 20 cigarettes a day. Use daily for 6–8 weeks before progressing to Step 3.
Step 3 – 7mg patches, designed for the final stage of quitting.
Each patch releases its stated nicotine dose steadily over a 24-hour period and should be replaced after that time.
Directions
Remove the patch from its packet and peel away the protective backing.
Apply immediately to clean, dry, hair-free skin free from creams or lotions (such as sunscreen or insect repellent). Common application sites include the upper arm, chest, abdomen, or hip.
Press firmly with the palm for 10–20 seconds, smoothing around the edges to ensure it adheres. Avoid lifting the patch to check if it has stuck.
After 24 hours, remove the patch and apply a new one to a different skin area. Avoid reusing the same site within 7 days.
