Description

Nicotinell® Patches deliver a controlled release of nicotine over 24 hours, helping to manage cravings throughout the day. Each patch is designed to steadily supply nicotine through the skin into the bloodstream, offering discreet support as you work toward quitting smoking.

Includes 28 transdermal patches (28-day supply).

Directions

Remove the patch from its sachet and peel away the protective film.

Apply immediately to clean, dry, hair-free skin with no creams, lotions, sunscreen, or insect repellent. Suitable application sites include the upper arm, chest, abdomen, or hip.

Press the patch firmly in place with the palm of your hand for 10–20 seconds, then run your fingers around the edges to ensure a secure seal.

Do not lift the patch to check if it has adhered, as this may cause it to loosen.

Replace with a new patch every 24 hours, rotating application sites each time.

Do not apply the patch to the same skin area again for at least 7 days.

Nicotinell Patches support smoking cessation through a gradual step-down program. Begin with Step 1 if you smoke 20 or more cigarettes daily. Follow the Quit Now or Pre-Quit program as outlined in the enclosed leaflet.

Pre-Quit Program

For those who smoke 20+ cigarettes per day and are unsure about stopping immediately:

Apply one Nicotinell Step 1 Patch daily while continuing to smoke.

After 2 weeks, stop smoking and transition to the Quit Now program.

Quit Now Program

Stop smoking and use the patch daily as follows:
Step 1

20+ cigarettes/day: Use Step 1 for 3–4 weeks

Under 20 cigarettes/day: Step 1 not required

Combination Therapy

If cravings persist or relapse occurs when using the patch or gum alone, you may use Nicotinell  Patch together with Nicotinell® 2 mg Gum. Refer to the leaflet for detailed instructions.

Warnings

Do not use if:

You are under 12 years old

You are a non-smoker or occasional smoker

You have widespread skin conditions (e.g., generalised psoriasis or chronic dermatitis)

You are allergic to nicotine or any ingredients in the product

The sachet is open or damaged

Do not use without medical advice if:

You have recently had a heart attack or stroke

You have unstable or worsening angina

You have severe arrhythmia

You have uncontrolled high blood pressure

Seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist before use if:

You are under 18 years old

You are pregnant or breastfeeding

You have cardiovascular disease

You have kidney or liver impairment

You have diabetes

You have an overactive thyroid or adrenal tumour
