Calcium Gluconate Gel 50 g is a topical first aid gel containing calcium gluconate in a colourless, odourless, water-soluble viscous base. It is intended for use in the management of hydrofluoric acid skin burns by supplying calcium ions to replace those bound or precipitated by fluoride ions.
The gel is used as part of first aid and ongoing management to assist tissue recovery and to help limit further damage to underlying tissue and bone. It is also used to support the management of pain associated with hydrofluoric acid skin exposure.
