Description

Sigmacort 1% Ointment contains hydrocortisone, a mild corticosteroid used to relieve skin inflammation. It helps to reduce redness, itching, and swelling caused by skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, insect bites, and rashes. The ointment formula is especially suitable for dry or scaly skin areas, forming a protective barrier to help retain moisture and improve absorption.

Hydrocortisone 10mg (1%)

White soft paraffin

Liquid paraffin

Preservatives (if present)

Usage

Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected area 1–2 times daily.

Gently rub in and wash hands after use (unless hands are being treated).

Use for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.

For external use only.

Warnings

Do not apply to infected, broken, or weeping skin unless advised by a doctor.

Avoid contact with eyes and do not use on the face unless prescribed.

Prolonged use can cause skin thinning.

Not recommended for children under 2 years unless directed by a healthcare professional.
