Sigmacort Cream 0.5% X 30g

Description

Sigmacort Cream 0.5% is a mild topical corticosteroid formulated to provide temporary relief from red, itchy, and inflamed skin conditions. It is effective in treating:

Mild eczema and dermatitis

Rashes

Insect bites and sunburn

Anal and genital itching

The cream is suitable for children over 2 years of age and is preserved with chlorocresol. 

Ingredient

Hydrocortisone acetate 0.5% (5 mg/g)

This formulation is hydroxybenzoate-free.

Directions for Use

Apply a thin smear to the affected area 2 to 4 times daily, or as directed by a doctor.

Reduce the number of applications as the condition improves.

Apply to all areas of inflammation, not just the most severe spots.

Use until the irritation has resolved and the skin is completely clear, typically within 7–14 days.

Use at the same time each day.

Warnings & Precautions

For external use only.

Do not use:

In the eyes.

For acne.

On children under 2 years old unless advised by a doctor.

Unless directed by a doctor, do not use:

Under waterproof bandages.

For more than 7 days.

In the presence of a skin infection until it has been adequately treated.

Discontinue use if irritation occurs and consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

Keep out of reach of children.
