A healthy vagina sits at an acidic pH, generally at or below 4.5. When that number climbs, it can point towards bacterial vaginosis or another imbalance behind unusual discharge, odour or irritation. This TouchBio test uses a swab and a colour-change indicator panel to show where your pH sits, with a reading in about 60 seconds. It is a way to work out whether what you are noticing is worth a trip to the doctor.

Directions for Use
Wash and dry your hands and read the leaflet. Gently insert the swab into the vagina and rotate it as described in the instructions to pick up secretions from the vaginal wall. Withdraw the swab and apply it to the pH indicator panel. Wait 60 seconds, then compare the colour on the panel against the reference chart supplied to read your pH.

Understanding Your Result
• A pH at or below 4.5 sits within the normal range.
• A pH above 4.5 is outside the normal range and may be associated with bacterial vaginosis or another cause of discharge or odour. See your doctor to discuss it.

Warnings
• This is a screening aid, not a diagnosis. It does not identify a specific infection and does not test for thrush or sexually transmitted infections.
• Do not test during your period, or within 24 hours of intercourse, douching or using vaginal creams, pessaries or lubricants, as these can alter the reading.
• See your doctor if you have pelvic pain, fever, bleeding between periods or symptoms that persist, whatever the result shows.
• Single use only. Do not reuse the swab or panel.
• Store as directed on the pack and use before the expiry date. Keep out of reach of children.
