Description
Zyrtec Kids Sugar Free Oral Liquid is an oral antihistamine medicine containing cetirizine hydrochloride 5 mg/5 mL. It is indicated for the relief of hayfever and allergy symptoms in children aged 1 year and over, providing up to 12 hours of symptom relief per dose.
It is used to relieve symptoms including sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, red, watery or itchy eyes, hives, itchy skin rash, and post-nasal drip.
The product is a sugar-free oral liquid with bubblegum flavour and is supplied with a measuring device for dosing.
Active ingredient
Cetirizine hydrochloride 5 mg/5 mL
Directions for use
Dosing is based on the child’s age and/or weight as directed on the product label.
For children 1 year and over, doses are taken twice daily as required, with a maximum of 2 doses in 24 hours. Specific volumes vary by age and weight category.
Warnings
Do not use in children under 1 year of age.
Do not use if hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
Use in children with liver or kidney disease only under medical advice.
This medicine may cause drowsiness. If affected, avoid activities requiring alertness.
If symptoms persist, worsen, or new symptoms occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
In case of overdose, seek medical attention immediately.
Contains sodium benzoate and sorbitol. Products containing sorbitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
